Xtream -My New Journey into Fitness
So, not many people know this, but on February 22, 2010 I started a new exercise program. The program is p90x. I was worried about how it would go at first, but I am actually kind of enjoying it. I am not doing the nutrition part; however, I do believe that I will see some benefits of the program simply because I am adding exercise into my regular routine which isn’t very unhealthy anyway. Also, my goal isn’t to build a lot of muscle, yet, I simply want to tone and strengthen my body.
I have found that I actually enjoy Yoga. WHAT!? Some people would ask… Yoga. You mean that crazy hippie ‘ritual’ where you flex around and make funny sounds? Well, that’s not really what Yoga is, but yes. I enjoy the flexibility of it; I also enjoy the calmness of it. It is not anywhere close to being as easy as I expected it to be. This Yoga is hard core crap. I am impressed. Also, it makes you feel wonderful when you are finished. Last week, after I finished my first hour and a half Yoga session, I felt renewed! I just could not stay at home. I went out and about and enjoyed my well-being and energy!
So, yes, Exercise is surprisingly enjoyable. It gives me something to wake up for in the mornings. But, do not get me wrong, it is not easy. I like the challenge also! Wish me luck. 11 weeks to go!
